Serving as your District 1 County Board Member does not feel like an obligation; it is the intrinsic desire that all my hard work and efforts will make a difference for those I serve.

That sense of service started when I was a young man in law enforcement, and carried into my many years in construction. It continues today on the McHenry County Board. Whether building for clients or standing up for taxpayers, my motivation has always been the same: make life better for hardworking families.

I strive to avoid partisan gamesmanship because I know real progress only comes through collaboration. Still, I remain faithful to my core beliefs of God, family, and country, and I measure every decision through the lens of common sense and conservative principles.

As Mark Twain said, “The truth has no defense against a fool determined to believe a lie.” That wisdom guides me when confronting misguided policies. My focus is not political spin, but truth, transparency, and accountability.

My commitment is first to District 1, but I never lose sight of all McHenry County residents, especially the hardworking men and women whose lives are directly affected by every vote cast by Illinois elected officials.

With this in mind, I make it a point to voice my concerns over larger issues such as the SAFE-T Act, even though it falls outside the purview of a county board member. The SAFE-T Act is a mostly unfunded mandate that burdens our courts and law enforcement, depleting taxpayer dollars while making communities less safe. No-cash bail undermines accountability, incentivizes criminals, and jeopardizes the safety of honest citizens.

My speaking and voting record reflects my stance: I support law enforcement and public servants, and I reject policies that compromise public safety. If re-elected, I will continue to express common-sense concerns on the issues that affect the communities and families I represent.
